ERA Board Members Attends the Victoria Amalgamation Conversation

This week members of the ERA Board attended the Victoria Amalgamation Conversation located at S. J. Willis School in Victoria.  When asked why such an interest, it was felt that the Amalgamation Conversation goal was to discusses such topics as regional policing, CRD sewer development, regional transportation challenges (aka Colwood Crawl), etc… Many of these are hot topics for Esquimalt Residence.  As a Board, we felt it was important that we partake in the discussion and ensure that Esquimalt Residents interest were not left out of the conversation.  Overall it was a good night with more questions raised than answers.  The organizers stated that this will be the first of many conversations.  Hopefully this will be start to finding solutions to the challenges we all face living not just in Esquimalt, but the region as a whole.  The video covers the discussion portion of the meeting.  As you may hear, Esquimalt residents are not alone with many of the issues facing us today.
